Geraldton Karate Academy Fundraising Committee

The Geraldton Karate Academy Fundraising Committee compromises of a group of dedicated volunteers who coordinate fundraising and social events and provide administrative support to the Geraldton Karate Academy.
The role of the committee is to:
  • Assess and determine fundraising requirements
  • Develop, implement and evaluate strategies to raise funds
These funds are generated by using a number of tools available to the Committee including but not limited to:
  • Sponsorships
  • Donations
  • Grants
  • Events eg Chocolate sales, Raffles
  • Memberships
  • Human resources e.g. parents, students, members, friends and family
Monies raised are used to help subsidise costs to students when participating in State and National Competitions and purchasing and/or replacing equipment.

Honnorery member Profile:
Noelene Renwick

Noelene has been a dedicated and longstanding volunteer of the Geraldton Karate Academy Committee for over 20 years. In addition to holding the position of Club Treasurer, she was JKA WA State Treasurer for 18 years and has attended most State and National Competitions as Team Manager. Noelene first became involved with the club when her son, Aaron Renwick 2nd Dan, commenced training under Sensei Pasco in 1986. Noelene is an accomplished ballroom dancer achieving an Oscar medal for New Vogue and Gold Star for Latin and Ballroom.
